Braai areas, fireplaces, flues and other heat sources require suitable materials and compliant clearances. Wall cladding should not extend into these zones unless the chosen product and complete installation system have been verified for that application. When suitability cannot be confirmed, the cladding should stop outside the affected area, with an appropriate fire-resistant material used instead.
